Esteban groeit op met zijn alleenstaande moeder, zijn vader kent hij niet. Op zoek naar zichzelf ontdekt Esteban dat zwemmen nét zoals het leven zelf is. ‘Het Leven van Esteban’ is een opmerkelijk levensverhaal van een jonge man die bestemd is om Olympisch zwemmer te worden.
